How day night systems actually work
Classic day night means two fabric layers on one track set: a sheer or light-filtering day curtain for soft privacy, plus a denser night curtain (often blackout) you draw after dark. Alternatively, combi or zebra blinds alternate sheer and opaque bands so you shift from filtered light to more privacy with one pull.
Both approaches beat a single mid-weight curtain that is never quite sheer enough by day and never dark enough at night — a common complaint in west-facing Singapore flats.
