Tips 1: Remember the vacation experience.
If you want to create an inviting atmosphere in your guest room, take a hint from hotels. Clean white sheets on the bed will give it a sharp, clean aspect. Soft carpets or area rugs can warm the floor and muffle household sounds. Offer a mirror if you don't have a guest bathroom for guests to use for fast appearance checks.
Dresses and jackets should have plenty of space to hang. Add a coat rack to the guest room if closet space is limited. We know that some of our followers really treated this guest room as one more storage space for their loots.
Tips 2: Remove your family photos and memento.
While its homely and lovely to have your family photos all around, you might not want to have your guest wakes up with a photo of you and your pets staring at them from the bedside table. So before the next guest arrival, why not keep your memories as yours.
Tips 3: A home away from home.
Assure guests that they can adjust the temperature and lighting in their rooms just like they would at home by installing air-condition and light switches (or even hue lighting). With a ceiling fan and blackout shades on the windows, they can create the perfect atmosphere in their bedroom. A few additional blankets might also be included in case guest become cold.
